In recent years HRD Research has become of global significance. At both government and corporate levels there is recognition that learning and development is fundamental to prosperity, well being and in facilitating effective change.
A considerable part of IFTDO’s work is devoted to sponsoring, promoting and disseminating HRD Research. Key sources for such research include the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Association of Talent Development (ATD) both IFTDO members. Importantly also IFTDO itself leads HRD research through its Scientific & Awards Committee and its Research Excellence Global Award.
Resources featured on the web site include best practice case studies, ‘toolkits’ for trainers and review material of recent publications. Members are encouraged to submit research and resources that they find particularly useful and effective and which they consider might be of value to the wider IFTDO membership.
